Accounting and Payroll Administration

With a Diploma in Accounting and Payroll, Students will have a clear career path. In each of the courses they will study in this concentration, they will learn the practical skills about recording numbers and analyzing them. Though the graduate will end having one of multiple accounting career opportunities, their duties wand skills will generally be the same. Companies are always going to need junior accounts, bookkeepers, financial analysts, and auditors.

Accordingly, every company will always have a need for professionals in the accounting field. And because there is potential for growth in the accounting field, graduates upon graduation can have further training and acquire more certifications to move from entry level positions to more senior positions within the public or the private sector.

Program Structure

The Certificate in Accounting & Payroll Administration consists of 16 courses and modules representing 60 credit hours.

Students will acquire a working knowledge of Accounting Fundamentals, Financial Accounting, Accounting Software- QuickBooks Desktop and Online Version, Sage-50, Canadian Payroll Systems. 

These skills are needed at the middle management level to support effective decision making.
